Mossback Guides & Outfitters is a close-knit team of stone-cold killers who specialize in both species and units. Our work ethic and commitment to both our clients and our respect for these animals are unmatched. Our hunts and accommodations are top-notch. There is no “I” in Team and there is no “I” in MossBack. What a season! Another amazing season coming to an end. An epic season it's been. The ups and downs, the successful hunts, and the tag soup have made it one to remember. We’ve hunted and harvested giants as well as some great management bucks and everything in between. We’ve had some amazing hunts with some remarkable people. We’ve had the pleasure of hunting brand new clients and clients who are now classified as long-time friends. We’ve hunted with full families, first-time kid hunters, wives, uncles grandpas, and more. The adventures and memories made are the real trophy. Here's a snapshot of the last few months. MOST HUNTERS WILL FLY INTO UTAH AND THEN RENT A CAR AND DRIVE TO THEIR DESIGNATED AREAS. MAPS CAN BE SENT TO YOU FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. If you are one of the lucky ones who drew a Limited Entry Tag. We would love to come along on this “Once of a Lifetime Experience” We’ve been hunting these units for 20+ years and with proper management and awesome genetics. These units deliver! However, having a Tag is only half of the battle. You still need to dig up a “shooter” and that’s what we do. Our track record on these units speaks for themselves. We consistently harvest some of the biggest animals of the unit year after year.
HuntExpo 200 Permits
Another way to pull off a golden ticket! Every year in February the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo (WHCE) Comes to Salt Lake City. You have the option to put in for an additional chance to draw a Premium Limited Entry and Limited Entry Tag.
HuntExpo Live Auction Tags
These Premium Tags are auctioned off to the highest bidder. These are some of the best tags in the Western United States. Everything from Big Horns to Turkeys are available in 3 different huge auctions. These Tags are 100% conservation tags that can be written off in the name of Conservation. Another great way to acquire a guaranteed tag of YOUR Choice. We can bid for you or please make reservations and come sit with team MossBack as we shock 2000 people in attendance year after year securing the best of the best tags in the Western States. It’s a great time. With some simple pre-planning, we can acquire a guaranteed tag to hunt just about any species, anywhere.
Conservation Banquet Tags
Every year to raise money for wildlife conservation there are Limited Entry Tags allocated to all the non–profit groups. These tags are Auctioned off at each banquet to also raise money for Conservation Projects on a Chapter-by-chapter basis. If you are looking for a specific species on a specific unit, let us know. We can and will show up on-site to secure your tag for the season. Again with some simple pre-planning, we can acquire a guaranteed tag to hunt just about any species, anywhere.
Landowner/CWMU Tags
In cooperation with the State DNR, there are special units that landowners allow hunters onto their private property. These units are very well regulated and are designed to minimize hunting pressure on wildlife and help the landowners keep harvesting their crops and doing what they do. They demand the respect that all hunters should follow and because of this, we now have access to some of the best private property in the west. If you are looking for a controlled hunt in a controlled environment. These hunts may be for you. You can contact us on availability and options.
