The early rifle and muzzle loader hunts open up right in the middle of the rut, mid to late September. When it comes to hunting cats we are the best in the business, we live for hound hunting . come with us and follow our pack of well trained hounds as they track one of these elusive cats through some of the Rocky mountains most scenic country. We hunt cougars from November to May snow or dirt hunting. We use 4 wheel drive pickups, snowmobiles, and atvs to follow the cats depending upon conditions. A cougar hunt with hounds can sometimes become physical fitness test same as bear hunting with hounds. Utah has a conservation program all conservation tags are 100% tax deductible for the buyer. Bear hunting is one of the most action packed, exciting hunts that we offer! There is nothing more exhilarating than walking a canyon, with a well-trained pack of hounds and hearing them open and trail out on a bear track. Driving the roads with a well-trained strike dog and hearing it bark when it catches the scent of a bear is equally as fascinating. Bear hunting with hounds can be one of the most physically taxing endeavors you can have. At times when those big bears just won’t go up a tree, the only possible thing to do is walk into where the hounds have the bear, “bayed up”. This is sure to be one of the most exciting moments of your life and a memory that you are not likely to soon forget! We use trucks, side by sides, ATV’s or walk the ridges to locate the bears. We also use GPS tracking collars on our hounds.

Following the bison herds on the book cliffs and Henry Mountain units of Utah is an awesome experience. Town hunts will be motel stays we provide transportation from motel back to motel each day of hunting. We will help you find deals on motels,in the area we decide to go and get your trophy.
Add 3% to forest or BLM lands that we hunt, add 6.5% for Utah state tax, these will be added to all hunts. Extra guest one person per client 200 dollars will be added a day. If we arrange pickup at airport it is 500 dollars from airport back to airport. Extra days after 5 days each day add 300 dollars a day.
We provide transportation from rental car or motel back to rental car or motel depending on what hunting you are doing. We provide lunches and snacks on all hunts. We provide dinners on all tent stays. We provide trophy care. We provide of taking pictures of you and your trophy. Or we can take you to a taxidermy of our choice that we know.
Fly to salt lake city Utah or Las Vegas, Nevada. Depending on which area we are hunting and species of choice. Rent a car drive to nearest town. Contact guides or outfitter for what airport to fly to.
Bring sleeping bag and pillow for tent stays. Camera, weapon of choice of use or what’s on your tag, ammunition,arrows personal stuff, please dress according to weather conditions here in Utah, your hunting license and tags of the game species you are hunting.

My name is Richard Bury. I have been hunting big game in Utah since I was a young boy, hunting alongside my father. I have also enjoyed hunting with my son Zach, since he was a young boy. I have hunted cougar and bear with hounds for ten years. Both my son Zach and I run our own pack of hounds.
I have worked in the trucking industry and Coal mines out of Eastern Utah for several years. I currently work out in the gold mines of Elko, Nevada. I lived in Huntington Utah for 43 years and now reside with my wife of three years in Payson, Utah. I have a son, daughter and step-daughter.
