Northern Alberta Outfitters was established in 2011 and is owned and operated full-time by myself, Ben Cockell, and my wife Amanda. I moved to Alberta in 1998 hunting the area since 2001. My knowledge of the hunting area is extensive, providing you with a great hunting experience. Our staff is here to make your hunt a success and enjoyable.

Our Outfitting establishment in Northern Alberta provides opportunities for trophy big game hunting including whitetail deer, mule deer, moose, elk, wolf, and black bear in wilderness areas in Northern Alberta, Canada. Our experienced guides provide rifle hunting, bow hunting, and black powder hunts for Boone & Crockett trophies.
Guaranteeing a trophy, however, is another thing. Until we can control the weather, your physical condition, and your shooting ability, all we can do is give you 100% effort.

Once you've been black bear hunting in Alberta you won't want to hunt anywhere else. The color phases range from black to dark chocolate brown to blonde. The average male black bear will weigh anywhere from 200 to 450 pounds with many being 6' plus from nose to tail. Many bears harvested in Alberta have made the Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young record books. If this isn't enough to convince you, then the two bear limited in most areas should! Where else can you have the opportunity to harvest two black bears in one hunt?
Spring and fall black bear hunting provides the Hunter with a variety of opportunities. Baiting black Bears is allowed in most areas as are spot and stalk and either method will be productive. Hunting black bears over bait will allow the hunter to get close enough to see the quality of the bear, this is perfect for the archery and muzzleloader hunter. Spot and stalk hunting can be very productive as well. It's almost certain you will get shot by a trophy black bear no matter what method you use.
