Founded in 2005, DMV Outfitters is a family run operation and a premier guide service for big game hunting in New Mexico. Owner, David Martinez, has been hunting New Mexico for as long as he can remember, starting as a young child with his dad and grandfather. After killing his first deer at 12 years old, David was hooked on hunting. Forty-four years later, the passion for hunting still runs deep. Hunts are conducted in northern New Mexico on public land in the Santa Fe National Forest, Carson National Forest, state land, and BLM properties. DMV scouts these areas and sets up cameras several months before the season to determine elk and deer patterns. Our biggest goal is for you to have a successful hunt, and we do everything we possibly can to make that happen. Depending on the hunt, we offer drop camps, lodging, and camping trailers. We typically take advantage of local motels for our bear and lion hunts. We have extensive knowledge of the areas we hunt, we have been hunting them for decades, and we can put you on a big game trophy animal. References are available upon request.
Elk hunts start in September through October and one hunt is offered in December.
Most elk hunts are drop camp hunts that are set up in area where you will be hunting, we also have lodging in rustic cabins or camping trailers on occasion depending on area. Drop camps will include meals for the duration of the hunt also included will be heaters, cots and lanterns/lighting will be setup.
5 Days - Bow, Muzzleloader, Rifle - $5,500
Just like Elk hunts, the Mule Deer hunts run September through mid-November.

5 Days - Bow, Muzzleloader, Rifle - $5,000
The Black Bear is one of North Americas largest predators in northern New Mexico’s beautiful mountain country. We have highly trained hounds’ men who run trained hounds and is a truly unique and amazing experience!
Bear hunts start in mid-August until the elk bow season starts and then resumes in late September.
Accommodations will be at local motels and travel to and from hunting areas each day. We will also provide drop tents when requested and will include food, beverages, and snacks during your camp stay.
3 DaysPublic Land - $3,500
New Mexico is known for its beautify country and amazing experience in hunting lion with hounds it makes it a unforgetting experience in hunting this elusive animal.
Lion hunts usually began when we receive our first snowstorms and end in February or when zones close. These hunts are physically demanding and are not for everyone, but we will try to get you as close to the lion as we can. We typically stay in a local motel and travel to and from hunting areas each day.
5 Days -Public/Private Land - $5,500
Tom Cat Ony - $6,500
Antelope hunts are offered for rifle or archery on public land. Licenses are issued by draw only. We typically stay in a local motel and travel to and from hunting areas each day. Hunts start in Mid-August and units that we hunt in are 50 and 52 located through Northern New Mexico.
3 Day Rifle/Archery Public Land - $2,500
Most of these hunts occur on the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). All once-in-a-lifetime, broken horn and youth-only oryx hunts are three-day hunts. Friday is primarily for checking into WSMR. If no military missions are scheduled, hunting may be allowed on Friday afternoons after check-in. WSMR will charge a $150 per hunter access fee. Successful WSMR applicants will receive an email from WSMR with instructions for fee payment.
2 ½ Day RifleWhite Sands Missile Range - $4,500
