From an early age, I had a growing passion for Newfoundland hunting and fishing. I didn’t realize how blessed I was because I didn’t know any different surroundings than my home - Newfoundland.
This passion has now been turned into 2G Outfitters. We at 2G Outfitters don’t feel we are exaggerating when we say our area is one of the best hunting and fishing areas in North America…maybe the world.
HUNTING AND FISHING SCHEDULE
SPRING BEAR HUNT (MAY - JUNE)
Our spring bear hunt starts in April and can be baited or walked and stalked. We have some massive Black bears.
WILD ATLANTIC SALMON (JUNE - AUGUST)
Our salmon fishing season starts in late May or early June with record-breaking runs of over 45,000.
FALL BEAR HUNT (SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER)
Our fall bear hunt starts in September and ends in late October. This is a baited hunt as well.
MOOSE HUNT (SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER)
Our moose hunting season starts in September with some weighing up to 1,200 lbs. and one of the most concentrated populations worldwide.

Upon arrival to Newfoundland, we met Clifford to begin the final drive to camp. That evening we checked our rifles, had a good meal, and got to know all the guides and hunters in camp. My personal guide was Chris and I was doing a 1 on 1 combo hunt with a bear. Chris was very knowledgeable of the area and moose hunting in general. Around the middle of the week, we had very unseasonably warm temperatures that virtually halted moose movement. Knowing I had a bear tag in my pocket Chris and I became a little more focused on a bear and mid-day Wednesday I was able to shoot my first Newfoundland black bear. By the end of the week, temperatures dropped and all 3 hunters in my group (and all 6 hunters in camp) were able to tag their bull moose. We ended up bringing 3 freezers full of moose meat home and plenty of memories. Clifford maintains a well-run camp with experienced guides, you’ll never go hungry as there is always a hot meal ready upon your arrival and they send you plenty of food when you’re out in the bush. I highly recommend hunting with Clifford and his crew you’ll certainly have a good experience and an opportunity to fill your freezer and trophy room.
