Apart from game care and bow hunting, we rarely hunt at our own lodge unless our "boss" orders game meat for his kitchen. Therefore, most of our trophy hunting takes place in the immediate area and is rarely more than a 45-minute drive from Waterfall.
This approach means that our guests have a greater chance to see and experience the beautiful animals close to our lodge.
Big Five
Our manager and regular PH is licensed and officially Big Five registered, and will gladly arrange your hunt for one of these trophies. Please note that it requires a minimum of three months of preparation and that we set specific requirements for the choice of caliber, ammunition, shot placement, etc. Contact our PH for further information. We arrange the rental of hunting rifles and other equipment and are able to deliver ammunition.
Our PH and Lodge Manager
We supplement with competent and skilled local PHs to the extent necessary. We are part of a local network of hunting lodges and ALWAYS provide a top professional crew.
Louis Gustavus Trichardt, better known to hunters by his nickname LG, was born and raised in the Waterberg Biosphere, where he has been hunting since he was 9 years old. In other words – LG is a child of "the bushveld". He got his PH license in 2005, and his outfitter in 2007, and he has led hunting parties all over South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, and Namibia.

Lodging and Accommodations
Our lodge is located in the Limpopo province in the Waterberg district, in the heart of Africa's most attractive hunting area. The lodge is built by Danish master craftsmen in a rustic design where only the best local materials are used. The entire lodge is located with charming thatched roofs down to a dammed lake at the foot of steep cliffs that are beautifully lit in the evening.
Our main building contains our kitchen as well as bar & restaurant and an outdoor covered terrace with a barbecue grill and a cozy section with lounge furniture. A terrace down is our lovely swimming pool with unobstructed views of beautiful nature.
Our two large villas are built out into the lake, and have a fantastic view from their private terraces. Each villa is furnished with a large living room with a sofa group and a double bed, as well as a separate bedroom with two large beds. Furthermore, these houses have a small kitchenette with a fridge, as well as a large bathroom with a toilet. Each villa can accommodate four guests.
All three cabins overlook beautiful nature from a private veranda and the cabins are furnished with a large bedroom with two large separate beds, as well as plenty of closet space. There is just enough space to install a third children's bed if desired. They are equipped with a fridge and an electric kettle. and nice separate bathroom with shower cabin and toilet.
