Currant Creek Outfitters, LLC operates in Nevada under the jurisdiction of the USFS and BLM, and licensed through the Nevada Dept. of Wildlife. We are full time outfitters and operate year round for all species that NV has to offer.
Currant Creek Outfitters, LLC is Nevada's top producing guide service. For nearly 20 years we have built our business from referrals and word of mouth advertising from previous hunters. We host 60-75 hunts per year (all species and hunts combined) and continue to maintain a 95-100% success rate. Our seasoned guides spend countless hours searching for giant bucks, bulls, and rams to ensure you have the best opportunity to harvest your trophy. Deer Hunts
Nevada | Mule Deer Hunting
- We hunt the East half of the State for big NV Muleys. These include areas 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, & 24.
- Five day hunts
- Our deer hunts are all inclusive. Includes lodging in camp trailers, wall tent camps, or motels. Also included food, field transportation, packing animal out, guiding, scouting, skinning, and trophy prep.
- Average bucks 24"-27" 170 gross with opportunities at 30" 180+ bucks each year. As you can see in our photos we also have a fair amount of non-typical genes in our deer herds.
- We take pride in our 95% success rate. If its your one shot at hanging a monster muley on the wall or a chance to get out in the hills, we have a hunt for you!
- Ask about the non-resident guided draw opportunities due in March. This will drastically increase your odds in drawing a tag!
Elk Hunts
- NV is home to some of the biggest bulls anywhere. We guide in areas 061, 071, 062-068, 075, 076-081, 078-109, 091, 104-121, 111-115, 221-223, 108,131-132, 161-164, 171-173, & 231, 241-242.
- 5 or 7 day hunts
- 4X4 vehicles, ATVs, UTVs, Hiking, and Horses
- Food and lodging included on most hunts. Camp trailers, cabins, or wall tents.
- Ely rifle hunts- food and lodging will be at hunter’s expense. Hunt fees are reduced on these hunts.
- Trophy size is different in each area and we are happy to assist in choosing an area to meet your expectations. Contact us before you apply!
- 97% harvest rate and a 100% opportunity. We are continuously scouting and hunting for bulls that will please you and continue to grow our reputation as the best in the business. We also strive to ensure that you enjoy a quality hunt.
- Extra hunters welcome at a pre-specified rate on inclusive camps. No charge on non-inclusive hunts.
Goat Hunts
- Our goat hunting areas are units 102 and 103 in the Ruby Mountains. World class goats have been harvested in the Rubies over the past 20 years, and some outstanding trophies are still available to the lucky hunters that draw the permit.

- Hiking and horses to get into and around goat country
- Camps consist of comfortable wall and dome tents.
- The area that goats reside can be very difficult to access, however the Ruby Mountains have decent trails to get us in the right areas. Being in good to great physical condition is a must to experience a successful goat hunt. Goats are also a very durable animal and we recommend using at least a .300 caliber to harvest your trophy.
- Weather conditions in the Ruby Mountains can change by the minute and hunters should be prepared for just about anything from 80 degree heat to 20 degree blowing snow.

Antelope Hunts
- Nevada has a growing herd of antelope and book bucks are harvested every year. We specialize in areas 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & 16.
- We have been hunting antelope in NV for the past 25 years and our success rate of 100% lets you book with confidence.
- Our hunts are generally out of camp trailers or wall tents. They are all inclusive with four days of hunting. This is truly one of Nevada finest hunts and finding the biggest bucks in your unit are what we focus on.
Bighorn Sheep Hunts
- 100% hunter success rates
- 7-10 day hunts
- Nevada gives out more sheep tags to non-residents than all other States combined.
- Nevada is the only State to offer all three North American species of Sheep and the only State you can apply for all three species in the same year.
- We guide all California Bighorn units from 012 to 068. These hunts are conducted in Washoe, Humboldt, and Northern Elko Co's. If you want a big ram call us!
- We hunt NV's symbolic animal, Nelson Desert Bighorn, in several Southern areas as well as the central units in Nye Co. Call us for info on your area, type of hunt we can put together for you, and the types of rams you can expect.
- NV has three areas in which you can hunt Rocky Mountain Bighorns. One of these areas is on Pilot Peak unit 091 and the other two are in White Pine Co. near Mt. Moriah in units 114 and 115. Drawing this tag is in itself a huge feat and we take great pride in helping our clients harvest the largest rams in their areas.
- 2010 was a major setback to our Rocky populations due to a massive die-off in the East Humboldt and Ruby Mountain Range. We do not anticipate hunts in these areas for quite some time to allow populations to reestablish.
- Don't take a drawn tag lightly. We can help put you in the right area, within range, and above all, on the right ram.
Mountain Lion Hunts
- Mountain Lions are the only big game species in Nevada that you can buy a tag for over the counter.
- These are very exciting hunts and as you can see we have produced some awesome trophies for our clients. We have a very high success rate and have taken several Nevada record book cats. We run lions with some of the best hounds in the business and have over 20 years of experience to help ensure your hunt is successful!
- This is a statewide hunt. Usually we depart from Elko each day but depending on hunt conditions and quota objectives we may hunt anywhere in the state. We use 4x4's, ATV's, hiking, & snowmobiles for transportation.
- We include all field transportation, trophy care, and over 20 hounds that know how to track in the toughest conditions.
- Temperatures fluctuate daily so bring layered clothing. Warm and waterproof is a must! We highly recommend Schnee’s pack boots for these hunts. Typical firearms are 30-30, 22-250, .223, .243, archery, or .44 pistol. Contact us for a complete gear list.
Predator Hunts
These hunts are non-stop action where the hunter gets a chance to be the hunted! We have had over ten coyotes racing in full blast to see who can get to the rabbit first.
We use both hand held or electronic calls to lure them in. You can expect most animals to come within 100 yards, and as close as in your lap. Don't forget your shotguns!
We won the 2004 world championship with over 40 coyotes called in and 26 harvested in 2 days, we won the NV State Championship in 2001 and 2003. On a recent hunt we called in 32 coyotes and harvested 20 in two days. This is by far the exception but on a two-day or longer hunt we guarantee we will call in a coyote or your next hunt is on us.
This is a very exciting hunt for those who have never experienced it, and very educational to those who want to learn more. Coyotes are the majority of animals called in during daylight hours. Bobcat and Fox are night hunts in counties where it is legal.
Bobcat & Grey Fox are resident only species in Nevada.
Included in hunt: All calling equipment, field transportation, trophy care, and tons of excitement!
What to bring: Sitka open country camouflage. Shotgun and or small caliber rifle. (22-250, .223, .243, etc.), binoculars, warm and waterproof clothing, camera, flashlight, and any specialty items.
$350/day per hunter.

Currant Creek Outfitters, LLC was established in 1997 by Riley Manzonie. The business is operated out of Elko and Ely, NV and the family ranch is out of Currant Creek, NV. As most family businesses we started small with only a few clients and two guides and have grown our business into one of the largest outfitting businesses in Nevada and the West. We still strive to offer that small business atmosphere and attitude for our clients and it has worked out well as we continue to host repeat clients year after year. Our mission is to provide the best outdoor experience for each and every hunter.
